I highly recommend using ride-share service U-Ride. For Taxi companies, I recommend AC Taxi or Yellow cab Turo is the Airbnb of car rentals. For an affordable car rental, I recommend Enterprise 15 min to Departure Bay ferry terminal. 20 min to Hullo ferry and Helijet terminal. 30 mins to Nanaimo airport.

This place exceeded all my expectations. I booked it at the last minute after changing my original plans. At around $400 per night, the price seemed quite reasonable, but I was initially a little unsure. I thought that if it were really that good, surely it would have been booked already. As it turned out, it was far better than I could have imagined. The moment I got out of the car, I was impressed by the property. The entire residence feels luxurious, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. It is a large villa with a separate private suite for guests, but even just walking down the landscaped stairs to the accommodation made me feel as though I were staying at a billionaire’s private retreat. Inside, the layout is similar to many other one-bedroom suites, with a living room, kitchen, bedroom, bathroom, shower, and washing machine. What makes this place exceptional, however, is the quality of every single detail. The colours, materials, textures, furniture, and overall design are all impeccable. You can immediately see Lisa’s outstanding taste and how much care she has put into the space. Even the doors, windows, glass bathroom door, and shower fixtures feel exceptionally high-end. One of my favourite details was the long horizontal window above the sofa. In the morning, sunlight comes through it and creates a thin, perfectly straight beam of light across the sofa bed. I noticed it while sleeping in one morning, and somehow that small moment made the entire experience feel even more elegant and special. The absolute highlight, however, was the terrace and its view. On my first day, I honestly spent almost the entire day sitting there, looking out over the ocean, city, forest, and distant scenery. The terrace itself is beautiful, with a comfortable and stylish outdoor sofa. The view and terrace alone would easily justify a price of $1,000 per night, yet the stay cost only around $400. This guest suite has a real wow factor from the moment you walk in. It was spotless, beautifully designed, and it’s obvious the hosts have gone above and beyond to think of every little detail. Everywhere we looked there was another thoughtful touch. The fluffy towels and plush robes with disposable slippers gave us the feel of a luxury hotel, and I loved finding sleep masks and earplugs tucked into the nightstands for a restful night’s sleep. The kitchen was generously stocked with Nespresso coffee, tea, sparkling water, and yummy welcome chocolates, while the bathroom even included an emergency kit with extra essentials in case you forgot something. For families, there’s an entire shelf with dishes and cutlery for kids, with electrical outlet covers in the bedside drawers for safety. The mountain and ocean views are stunning, and it was incredibly quiet and private. The outdoor fireplace and sitting area was a lovely bonus. The hosts were warm, highly communicative, and always happy to help. You can tell they genuinely care about making their guests feel comfortable. We felt truly pampered and will definitely be back! Honestly, nothing. Everything exceeded our expectations.

Nach einer vierwöchigen Kanadarundreise haben wir 5 Nächte hier verbracht und die traumhafte, ruhige Lage mit Blick auf die Strait of Georgia genossen. Das Apartment ist völlig perfekt und in höchster Qualität ausgestattet. Man merkt, dass es Gastgeberin Lisa sehr wichtig ist, dass ihre Gäste zufrieden sind, sie hat einfach an alles gedacht, was den Aufenthalt unvergesslich macht. Besonders hervorzuheben sind auch die wertvollen Hinweise und Tipps, die Lisa ihren Gästen über eine eigene Internetplattform zur Verfügung stellt, was das Erkunden der Schönheiten der Umgebung wie auch das Auffinden von guten Lokalen sehr erleichtert. Es war bei weitem die beste Unterkunft unseres Urlaubs. -

Beautiful clean apartment high in the mountains with stunning views. Everything we needed for a family stay. Lovely outside area with gas pit fire to just sit and relax and take in the views. Apartment is attached to the owners stunning house. Lisa (the owner) who made us very welcome and gave us some great information and tips for our stay. Will definitely return if visiting Vancouver Island again. Thank you. Nothing at all.

I really enjoyed the peace, tranquility, and beautiful surroundings of this property. It was a refreshing change from the usual hotels I stay in and made for a much more relaxing and enjoyable experience. The setting was calm, comfortable, and exactly what I was looking for. I‘d give 11 out of 10 points! After staying in numerous hotels on our trip, this felt like coming home. The apartment is part of a private house, wonderfully situated on the top of a mountain with a stunning view. A little outside, but it was ideal for exploring with fast access to lots of the highlights of the area - endless trails and beautiful waterfalls all within 15-30 min drive. The apartment looks brandnew, is better equipped than a standard household and you could tell that the owners are very thoughtful. And finally a shower with normal water pressure! Nice outside space- yoga at sunrise, what more can you want…
